About Us

The company consists of me, Simon, and the 2 Pams. Pam junior is my partner and Pam senior is my “green fingered mum”.

It all started when looking for a summer job, as poor students do, and I landed a freelance weekend job in the planteria of one of the best garden centres at that time in Maidstone, Kent. At the same time I became their freelance garden designer and plant – a – plan designer…..and off we went.

Over the next 25 years or so I designed countless gardens and hundreds of borders around Kent and the surrounding counties. Eventually we undertook only bespoke projects ranging from Japanese gardens to Hydroponic roof gardens!!!

As time passed I realised that I could not always purchase the plants that we needed and then on a walk around the Hampton Court Flower Show the penny dropped….. lets grow our own. And so we did.

Musa Basjoo

In 2010 we changed from a self-employed landscape company to a plant specialist company, registered at Companies House.

Now, in 2021 it is time for a website and time to evolve into Plants, Plants, Plants and hang up my “serious build“ landscape hat, having just completed my last major project. Since 2010 we have been selling our plants at garden shows, from the large Kent Garden Show down to the smaller specialist shows such as Saltwood Castle etc. You will also find us at more unusual shows, e.g. The All England Koi Carp Show at the Detling Showground, and we have been lucky enough to have a stand at the open days of the Big Cat Sanctuary in Smarden, Kent. What a wonderful place that is. It is a hidden gem.

Another place you can find us with our seasonal winter hat on is at the Rochester Christmas Market, set over 3 weekends in the grounds of historic Rochester Castle.

To supplement our plant displays we also sell some ornaments, particularly the Vivid Arts range and also wooden carvings which sit well with our Jurassic Tree Ferns, etc.

Now for the 2 Pams. My long suffering partner is also a dedicated horticulturalist with over 27 years in a leading garden centre both in the planteria and indoor plants. As for my mum, Pam senior, she has been growing plants for over 70 years, so her fingers are well and truly green !!

So that’s it really. If you need help with plants, from the smallest bedding plant to the largest bamboo, or indeed any advice, please feel free to contact us. Sadly, at the moment we have no open retail outlet, hence we shall have items for sale on our website shop and through our Facebook page and Facebook Marketplace.
